We all have those times when we absolutely can’t afford to get sick and panic sets in when we start feeling a scratchy throat, runny nose or body aches.
I am sure we all would agree that there is no good time to get sick but sometimes it can be disastrous.

- you are getting ready to leave for a trip, or you are on a trip

I am sure you can think of many more examples of when it is absolutely the worst time to get sick.
Ironically, it is also during these important, busy and stressful times that we do get sick.
Why we get sick during these times…
- we push our bodies too far
- we don’t get enough sleep
- we don’t eat healthily
- and stress takes its toll

These suggestions will help boost your immune system to either ward off sickness or to recover quickly and get back to the important things you have going on in your life right now.

Emergency Action Plan to Support Your Immune System and Recover Quickly
#1 Don’t eat any sugar or anything high in sugar (this includes juice and alcohol). It weakens your immune system for 5 hours after you ingest it.
#2 Make sure you get at least 8 hours of sleep
#3 Try to eliminate as much off your plate as possible, especially anything causing you stress. Stress weakens the immune system.
# 4 Take Vitamin C, Vitamin D and Garlic
#5 Drink plenty of filtered water
#6 Get some Thieves or make some yourself and apply everything you learned from my blog post How to Avoid Getting Sick During Cold and Flu Season.
#7 Make a batch of my Healing Chicken Soup and eat it along with other healthy whole foods that are not processed. This is not a good time to eat fast food.
# 8 Think positive thoughts like, “I will beat this,” “I am getting better,” “I am beefing up my immune system,” don’t say things like “I am getting sick.” Words influence our brain which influences our bodies.
# 9 Pray. God made your body with an awesome immune system and the ability to heal itself. He is the great healer. He wants you to be healthy and live your life abundantly.
Natural Healing Chicken Soup
- 3-4 Chicken Breasts cut up
- 1 Tbls fresh crushed ginger
- 2 Tbls fresh minced garlic
- 1 Tsp each of Thyme & Corriander
- 1 Tsp Mustard
- 1 Tsp Salt & Pepper
Coat chicken in all the spices
Heat large pot with olive oil and brown chicken.
Dice up 3 medium onions and brown with chicken.
Add 8 cups of water and simmer 30 minutes while cutting vegetables.
Peel and cut up 3 carrots, 3 parsnips, 1 large potato, 1 large sweet potatoes, butternut squash. Add to pot and simmer for an hour. Add cut up Broccoli and Peas and simmer 20 more minutes. Don’t overcook it. Garnish with fresh chopped parsley.
How to Make Your Own Thieves Essential Oil Blend
- 15 drops of Clove Essential Oil
- 12 drops of Lemon Essential Oil
- 7 drops of Cinnamon Bark Essential Oil
- 5 drops of Eucalyptus Essential Oil
- 3 drops of Rosemary Essential Oil
- 3 oz. of Fractionated Coconut Oil
Combine in small, preferably, dark glass container.
Note: You can make this blend without the Coconut Oil if using on the bottom of your feet, diffusing or adding to tea. Use with Coconut Oil for use on the rest of your body just in case your skin is sensitive. Especially with children.
Double or Triple Recipe for Increased Quantity and use to make your own cleaners, hand soaps, and sanitizers.
